Are Chelsea Content with the Annual Managerial Dismissal and Appointment?

It seems as though, as the years go by, Chelsea are constantly firing their manager around the same time of the year based upon a poor run of results. Needless to say, "it's that time of the year." 

After a very disappointing defeat to West Brom, Andre Villas-Boas looks as though he will be packing his bags soon. Possibly as soon as Tuesday, based upon the FA Cup tie result.

His tactics have not quite worked yet at Chelsea, and the senior players are not fully behind their manager (due to their lack of performance, aka Lampard). 

Rafa Benitez has been strongly linked to the position at Chelsea, and Chelsea will look to give their new manager some time to plan a huge upset in the second leg of the Champions League game against Napoli.

Benitez has a good managerial record, but it would take a mastermind to be able to pull that off. 

There is one thing that most will agree on and that is that Chelsea need some consistency. An experienced manager with a plan, incorporation of youth, locker-room management, and a run of good results to restore confidence would bring a positive light to the end of the 2011-12 season. 

No, I do not want to see Chelsea fire yet another manager but let's face the music: AVB is not cutting it. He is inexperienced and it is very obvious. He does not have the support of key players and therefore will not last.

I will hate to see him go but I am optimistic about who the new appointment could be and what they might bring to the disaster that is Chelsea FC.
