The Doctor's SmackDown Recap Delayed, WWE Raw Preview for Next Week

The Doctor Chris MuellerMar 3, 2012

I would like to start by apologizing to my loyal readers who have been reading my recap lists each week and made my weekly recap lists one of my favorite things to do.

The storm which ripped through the northwest suburbs of Chicago last night knocked out my dish, and I was unable to see SmackDown at all.

Generally the entire show is available online within a day or so, so I should be able to post a recap list tonight or tomorrow. To anyone who actually came here looking for the recap, I thank you for your support.

As for RAW, next week's show is sure to have some kind of drama involving Cena and The Rock. Last week, Cena got the better of Rock in a war of words, but that may be a one-time thing.

It is hard for anyone to outperform The Rock in a promo situation, and the crowd is already heavily biased when it comes to who to cheer for in this situation.

With WrestleMania getting closer and closer, we should start to see the rest of the card get rounded out soon.

The Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes match seems to nix any potential plans for a Cody vs. Goldust match or a Big Show vs. Shaq match, which Shaq has been claiming would happen up until recently.

The Money in the Bank match being put back on its own PPV will certainly anger some people who felt that the match belonged on the biggest PPV card of the year.

With Monday's RAW still being a few weeks off of 'Mania itself, we will likely get some more advancement in the Rock vs. Cena feud as well as CM Punk and Jericho's rivalry.

Whether or not Kane will make an appearance is unknown, but it is likely seeing as he returned during SmackDown and chokeslammed Randy Orton.

The one singles title which has yet to get it's own match on the 'Mania card is the US title held by Jack Swagger.

Ever since he won the title from Ryder in a match which was designed to make Ryder lose, he has not been in a serious feud over the belt.

I am hoping that a potential feud for his title will begin on Monday because, in my opinion, WrestleMania is a night where every champion in the company needs to be on the card.

Speaking of championships without a 'Mania match, the tag champs Epico and Primo have yet to be put on the card. But, with WWE's treatment of the tag-team division being very poor, it is likely they will either be a part of a dark match or the rumored Long vs. Laurinaitis team match to determine who will be the GM of both shows.

Another storyline that is bound to get some attention is the whole Eve/Ryder situation, which has seen Eve turn heel and Ryder be off of TV for a couple weeks with a storyline injury.

How long WWE plans on keeping Ryder in the wheel chair is unclear, but his most recent video shows him still wearing the next brace so it could be a while.

The last few weeks of RAW have been very good, and I am really looking forward to what WWE has in store this week.

What are you hoping will be addressed on this week's RAW?
