What They're Saying
Mark Murphy of The Boston Herald found that GM Danny Ainge expects Rajon Rondo to be in a Celtics uniform for quite a while and that his relationship with coach Doc Rivers is just fine.
"“I anticipate him being here for a long time,” said Ainge, who also derided reports that Rondo, who has butted heads with virtually every coach he’s ever had, now has a worsened relationship with Rivers.
“Rondo and Doc get along fine. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t bumps in the road. But I would go so far as to say they get along now better than they ever have. This is nothing new. There are other issues that concern us so much more.”
"
Colin Stephenson over at The Star-Ledger found that Brook Lopez is excited about playing with MarShon Brooks and Deron Williams. He also thinks they can be successful.
"“No question. Being able to sit there and watch all those games from the sideline — just to see what (Brooks has been) able to do, no question made me all the more excited to get out there and play with him,” Lopez said. “And of course, Deron is Deron. These first three games have been interesting. I think it amazes me how great vision (Deron) can have on the floor, getting people the ball.”

Most Important Player to Watch: Kevin Garnett
KG is sick and tired of the Celtics' poor play this season, which is why he called a team meeting before the All-Star break and helped lead the team to two wins right after it.
Now he’s going to have to guard Brook Lopez and attempt to shut the big man down so Boston can win.
It’s not going to be easy, but KG is a fierce defender and can get it done.
Key Matchup: Point Guard
Rajon Rondo will be going head-to-head with Deron Williams tonight and it’s interesting that both have been involved in a number of trade rumors.
Some folks even believe that Rondo could be involved in a swap for Williams, although that isn’t likely.
Let’s see if it affects either of them on the floor tonight.
