2012 Honda Classic: Tiger Woods Will Clean Up Disappointing Play in Round 2

Tiger Woods tees off at 7:30 a.m. EST this morning in Round 2 of the Honda Classic and has quite a bit of work to do.

Putting woes again plagued the world's former No. 1 golfer despite hitting 15 of 18 greens at Palm Beach Gardens and his 34 putts left him with a one-over(-par) 71 for the day.

As Tiger puts it, he didn't play poorly, but he didn't score either (via ESPN):

"I just didn't get a lot out of my round," he said. "It's kind of how it went today. I felt like I played a lot better. I just didn't score."

It was putting that undid Tiger at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and he's picking up exactly where he left off.

As the great Happy Gilmore would say, "Oh yeah, putting."

But Woods didn't hit the ball badly and his swing, for once, isn't the issue.

His early tee-time on Friday should help him avoid any rush of media pressure, and, if he can make up ground early, he can put the pressure on some of the golfers near the top.

Currently tied for 69th, Woods has some work to do if he wants to play golf the rest of this weekend.

We know Tiger can disappear into funks, and this putting problem could certainly be the beginning of one, but he can also turn it around on a dime and make a charge better than anyone.

Expect Tiger to hit the ball well today and not make the mistakes he did yesterday.

If he can start finding his way closer to the hole when he hits the green, he'll start finding the bottom of it more quickly.
