MLB 2012 the Show: Rounding Up Reviews for Latest Baseball Game

MLB 12: The Show is coming out Tuesday, March 6 and it’s one of the most anticipated baseball games in recent memory.

Unfortunately, you have to have a PS3 or PS Vita to play, but the features the game will incorporate that are unique to those consoles are awesome.

Let’s take a look at some of those and some early reviews from those who have got the title early.

IGN

The reviewer for this company absolutely fell in love with The Show and said it “reinvigorated the passion I feel for the game.”

They talked about how the Playstation Move worked extremely well with it and players can use it for everything; including batting, pitching, fielding and base-running.

It does not even matter if you are left or right handed, the game will take care of it for you.

The team also seems like a great one and it’s going to make this year’s edition awesome.

This in-depth review gets into how pitching and hitting have been modified for the 2012 version of The Show.

The coolest thing is the “Pure Hitting” function being introduced.

This works the way MLB2k’s batting does.

It allows you to stride with the right stick and direct your swing with the left stick, using a target. If you get the target over the pitch location, the better chance you have of getting a hit.

The “Pulse Pitching” is also new and allows those who prefer not to use the analog sticks to throw to be more accurate.

Since the game does not come out for another five days, there are limited reviews and previews out there. But based on these two, you can already tell the game is going to be amazing.
