Carlos Boozer Trade Rumors Tracker: Latest Updates for Chicago Bulls Star
The Chicago Bulls are one of the many teams looking to improve their squad before the NBA trade deadline on March 15, and Carlos Boozer appears to be the player generating the most buzz.
In his second season with the Bulls, Boozer is currently averaging 15 points and eight rebounds.
Chicago isn't having any trouble terrorizing opposing teams, but the Bulls know that come playoff time, they'll have a tough challenge against the Miami Heat.
Adding depth and upgrading the roster is the best way to get better, and that is something Chicago appears to be doing as the trade deadline looms.
Update: Wednesday, March 7 at 6:11 p.m. EST
Carlos Boozer is officially the only member of the Bulls to start every game. Derrick Rose denied that he wanted to see Boozer traded, according to Neil Hayes of the Sun Times.
While ESPN's Chris Broussard claims the Bulls are willing to deal Boozer, the Bulls are in first place in the East and it's clear that they aren't ready to hit the panic button to deal Boozer.
Update: Thursday, March 1 at 7:27 a.m. ET
According to Chris Broussard of ESPN, the Bulls are still willing to trade Boozer, especially if it means getting one player in particular. Brousaard does point out that the price would be high, so Boozer alone may not get the job done.
"Chicago would give the Lakers Carlos Boozer in a heartbeat, but that won't get it done for Gasol. The Lakers would likely want Luol Deng thrown into the trade, which would be a deal breaker for the Bulls.
"
The fact Broussard says "in a heartbeat" is a strong indication Boozer still has great potential to be traded before the deadline.
It's uncertain if anything will happen, especially given the way the Bulls are playing right now. They're doing great, and breaking up the team with a trade could be detrimental.
However, Boozer is still somewhat on the trade block, and if the right deal arises, he could easily be gone.
