Michigan Football: Breaking Down Wolverines' Hypothetical New Duds

Michigan's football uniforms still haven't changed, and they probably never will.

But there have been some alternate uniforms making the rounds on the Internet, courtesy of designer Charles Sollars, and we may as well take a look.

Here's a look at the good, the bad and the ugly.

5. The Michigan Steelers

If this uniform made it onto the field, I'm guessing the whole state of Michigan would go into shock.

Not only do the uniforms practically throw away everything about the traditionals, they eerily resemble the Pittsburgh Steelers.

4. Are You Ready for Some Arena Football?

If the Wolverines use these uniforms, they may as well join the Arena Football League. They would fit right in.

This is a smattering of colors that doesn't make sense at any particular area. The blue jersey and blue pants may allow the Wolverines to blend in if they ever play Boise State, though.

3. High School Football

These uniforms remind me of high school jerseys. You know, when high schools don't have enough money to color them in.

It doesn't exactly breed confidence. If Michigan wants to be boring and bland, though, this is the uni to choose. Not even Denard Robinson could excite in this uniform.

2. Hey, Not Bad

I'm kinda liking these ones.

They hold the traditional colors, aren't too over-the-top and the pattern looks good throughout. There isn't one area in these uniforms where you turn back in horror, which is always a good sign.

This wouldn't be a bad alternate jersey for the Wolverines.

1. Glorious Gold

I had to put this uniform at No. 1, just because I feel like it's one you either love or hate.

The uniform on the right is all gold, which is awesome and regal at the same time. On the other hand, having barely any blue on the uni doesn't exactly scream Michigan.

I do like the uniform on the left a lot, though. It has a nice combination of blue and gold and has a slick pattern. I could definitely envision Denard streaking down the sideline in that beaut.

But that's just my take. What do you all think?
