WWE and TNA: Top 5 Overlooked Wrestlers Right Now
WWE has so many talented performers on its roster to begin 2012. They may not always be "used" best, but the ability is undeniable.
As we begin the stretch towards the biggest show on in all of pro wrestling (WrestleMania), it is time to look at a few talents not getting the recognition they deserve. Down in DixieLand, a lot of the same can be said.
As they crawl their way to Lockdown, they have a very talented performers that deserve some credit. Here is my opinion on a few men that could surprise a few people in 2012.
5. TNA Talents
1 of 5Honestly, I didn't even want to mention this company.
However, I decided to include them for the simple fact that TNA has so many great performers. If there is one disappointment in this entire business, it is that tons of wonderful talents are on Impact.
The entire world needs to see some of these guys. Being stuck in an Orlando sound stage in front of the same 1,000 non-paying tourists 90 percent of the year is just ridiculous.
Regardless of my feelings about TNA, the talent pool is beyond stacked. Trust me, as terrible as their "WCW 2000" shows are every Thursday, the roster is incredible.
Just to name a few:
Austin Aries, Matt Morgan, James Storm, Bobby Roode and many more come to mind.
4. Mark Henry
2 of 5The man got his due in 2011.
Sadly, the injury bug bit him once again to close out the year. Just like Edge, it seems like his career will be remembered as him being hurt more often that not.
However, if one man can prove all the "haters" wrong in 2012, Mark Henry is the man.
Do not forget about his excellent work just a few months ago. Don't count this guy out. On his way to the WWE Hall of Fame, we may not seen his best work yet.
3. Alex Riley
3 of 5This man has it.
While his future in WWE does not look very bright, his name will be known to the world one day. Whether he makes a big splash in 2012, 2013 or 2017, he will be a major star in this business.
Once again, I just suggest fans do not give up on him. In WWE or not, there is no doubt in my mind he has all the tools to be a future champion.
2. Drew Mcintyre
4 of 5I am not sure if he counts as being "overlooked," but I am including him.
The Blue Brand has not been very kind to Drew Mcintyre the past few months. However, Johnny Ace may be ready to "save" his career in 2012.
While a simple move to Raw is not going to turn heads, his talents inside the ring certainly will. All of losing the past couple of Smackdown shows will lead him to greener pastures.
1. David Otunga
5 of 5I love that clip!
David Otunga has been far too entertaining the past few months to continue being overlooked. His work inside the ring will never be the greatest, but that doesn't define success in this business.
Mr. Otunga does have many of abilities that can make him rise to the top of the card in WWE. It may not be in 2012 or soon after, but do not count this man out.
He just may surprise a lot of folks.
