WWE News: The Rock's Scandalous 'Promo Notes,' What They Allegedly Said

Imaan JalaliJun 4, 2018

As the Feb. 27 edition of RAW came to a close, John Cena sauntered out, joined The Rock in the ring and issued his rebuttal.

Cena singled out the man behind the character, Dwayne Johnson, for being an "egotistical" human being who wouldn't really care if the WWE went out business.

While Cena's response seemed harsh, but not too out of the ordinary, he did issue a line that seemed to catch The Rock off guard.

That is, Cena made an inside reference to "The Great One" being reliant upon "promo notes" scribbled on the underside of his wrist.

As a result, what came across like an off-the-cuff comment blurred the line between "real" and "scripted," leaving fans to ponder what they had just witnessed.

And unless Dwayne Johnson is a better actor than most give him credit for, his aghast expression and subsequent stammering to end his promo indicated a breach of professionalism on Cena's part.

Notwithstanding the remark being a "work" or "shoot," members of the WWE universe were skeptical of it—why would the greatest speaker the WWE has ever known use a "cheat sheet"?

It couldn't be, can it?

There's no way "The Most Electrifying Man in Entertainment" would disappoint his legions of fans by cutting corners, right?

Well, unfortunately, a screen capture (h/t WrestleZone.com) reveals that The Rock did indeed have words ballpoint pen-inked on his left wrist.

Moreover, according to a fan report sent to WrestleZone.com, the following are some of the alleged promo notes written on The Rock's wrist:

"

KPC - KPB

Fight 4 Them

Innovator - Camo

2 reasons

Call out

"

What's going on here?

Is it possible that real-life resentment has seeped into the cracks of reality from the fictional world of wrestling?

Could Cena have taken CM Punk's "pipe bomb" to another unspeakable level?

Or were the notes purposely "planted" on The Rock's arm to give Cena the ammunition he needed to return the favor in the storyline?

Nonetheless, despite what may or may have not happened at the conclusion of RAW, The Rock vs. John Cena is shaping up to be a riveting match atop a can't-miss WrestleMania 28 card.
