WWE: What Will Wade Barret's Injury Do to His Push?
Wade Barrett was injured during a battle royal recently and reports indicate he has dislocated his elbow. There is not much word yet on how long this will keep the English grappler out of action.
Barrett has been in the midst of a push over the past several months, which has seen him start to look like a real main event player in WWE.
With an injury like this coming just weeks before WrestleMania, one has to wonder how this will affect his push?

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Obviously, he won't be in either of the title matches and being in the Money in the Bank match is most likely out of the question, so Barrett's participation in 'Mania this year will likely be kept to a backstage segment, if anything.
If the injury is not too severe, then we could see him back in a matter of weeks, but if he does not take care of it, then it could become a long-term issue.
SmackDown had a good set of heels between Barrett, Orton, Henry and Bryan, but now it looks like they will have to do with one less on their team.
With Barrett having had several high-profile matches with Randy Orton, as well as a good showing in the last couple of PPVs, it looked like he was heading for World Title territory.
If WWE is smart, they will continue his push the minute he comes back. Barrett is not only talented in the ring and on the mic, but he helps to bring an extra international fanbase to WWE.
Perhaps this is a chance for Drew McIntyre to fill the void and step up as one of SmackDown's top heels. His losing streak can't last forever.
I am very curious to see how WWE handles this, but my hope is that Barrett will come back and be right back in the mix with the World Title.
What do you think will happen to Barrett now that he is injured?
