NFL Combine Results 2012: 5 Players Working Themselves Up Draft Boards

Tony SantorsaJun 3, 2018

Now that day four of the 2012 NFL combine is officially over we can evaluate the results from Saturday in Indianapolis.

We saw some players struggle, but then we saw a select few players improve their stocks significantly.

With that being said, let's take a look at five players that are working themselves up the draft boards.

Ladarius Green

1 of 5

Ladarius Green may have played his college ball at Louisiana-Lafayette, but he's an interesting prospect for the tight end position.

Green ran the second fastest 40-yard dash time for his position as he clocked in at 4.53 seconds.

Green stands at 6'6" and is an athlete receiver for the tight end position but can be slow at the snap of the ball. However, Green could develop into quite the red-zone target.

Cordy Glenn

2 of 5

I am really starting to like Cordy Glenn as an offensive tackle prospect.

Glenn played very well during his days at Georgia and performed well Saturday in Indianapolis as he benched more than the top rated offensive tackle, Matt Kalil, as Glenn recorded 31 reps.

Glenn is an absolutely massive blocker as he checks in at 6'6" and weighs a whopping 345 lbs, but he could lose some weight as his mobility appears to be the biggest concern with him.

David Molk

3 of 5

Let's put it this way: David Molk is strong. And I mean strong.

Molk was the top performer in the bench press Saturday as he recorded an incredible 41 reps.

Molk never really had too much hype entering the combine but will likely leave Indianapolis with his stock on the rise for a possible middle to late round draft pick. He could serve as a quality backup center.

James Hanna

4 of 5

James Hanna is one of my favorite receiving tight ends heading into the 2012 NFL draft.

Hanna clocked in at 4.49 for the 40-yard dash and did pretty well in the bench press as he recorded 24 reps.

Hanna is a pretty sick tight end that is strong enough to run over defenders in open space but can struggle with pass blocking.

After being a top performer in the 40-yard dash Saturday, his stock is certainly now on the rise.

Orson Charles

5 of 5

Orson Charles may have came into the 2012 NFL scouting combine as the top rated tight end but now he'll likely leave Indianapolis as one of the top 32 prospects.

Charles had a solid day this Saturday, and he proved that he's strong enough to compete at the NFL level as he recorded a whopping 35 reps in the bench press.

Charles stands in at 6'2" and weighs 251 lbs and should be the first tight end selected this coming April.
