Welcome back everybody for another round of live text commentary with me, Karl Matchett, and this time it's for the biggest domestic game of the season so far. The first silverware of 2011-12 will be handed out at Wembley in the League Cup Final.
Our contestants are Cardiff City and Liverpool, who arrive in this clash with utterly contrasting histories in this knock-out cup.
The Bluebirds have never won the League Cup, while Liverpool hold the competition record with seven victories to date.
Welsh outfit Cardiff have won their passage through to Wembley after knocking out Oxford United, Huddersfield Town, Leicester City, Burnley, Blackburn Rovers and Crystal Palace, whilst Liverpool had to navigate ties against Exeter City, Brighton and Hove Albion, Stoke City, Chelsea and Manchester City.
It promises to be a magnificent spectacle at the mighty Wembley Stadium, so make sure you check back here regularly for a whole host of build-up articles and team news, stories and rumours—before the live text commentary of the final itself.
We'll also have all the best post-match reaction and analysis, so bookmark this page and get involved by leaving your comments below!
