Rick Nash Trade Rumors: Will Any Hold True?

Rick Nash trade rumors have be all over the place, and NHL fans that have been searching to get an idea of what will happen have been bombarded with all types of rumors. Readers have to wonder which rumors will hold true.

The reality of the situation is that only Scott Howson truly knows what he will do with Nash. With the decline of the Blue Jackets this season, people can assume that if any Nash trade is made it will most likely determine the fate of Howson’s future with the Jackets.

Rick Nash has clearly been the crown jewel of the Blue Jackets since he entered the league and has shown large amounts of individual skill, with little team success to show for his efforts. While Columbus fans would be very sad to see their captain go, it really would be in the best interest to see the trade rumors become a reality.

In all fairness to Rick Nash, he has played in Columbus since he was drafted first overall in 2002 with little to show for it. The fans of Columbus and of Nash at this point should feel that Nash deserves the chance to go to a better-equipped team and be given the opportunity to play in the post season.

Trade rumors have come true in Columbus to some extent—Nash’s former teammate Jeff Carter was sent to the Kings, which means that some of the rumors that have been coming out of Columbus are really coming true. Many believe that Nash is next to go, and if Howson wants to keep his job he really should consider getting as many talented young players for Nash as possible.

While fans and most insiders really have no idea of what will happen to Nash, people just have to wait and see what rumors really will hold true.
