5 Angles for John Cena After WrestleMania 28
There are less than 40 days until the biggest wrestling event of the year. And so far, we have really seen creative step up in its preparation for WrestleMania 28 by giving us four great matches and the foundation for more greatness.
Wow, this is how wrestling should be, like it truly matters.
But once the lights dim and the title changes hands and the glitz and glam go away, we will have a Hollywood actor leave the ring and head back to Los Angeles and a popular wrestler who will still have to either come to grips with the idea of a character rebuild or remain the charismatic leader that still has fans who love and hate him at the same time.
Ultimately, something has to happen with Cena. Once his angle with The Rock is gone, he will be in no man's land and will need a dance partner. The angle with Kane ended, so the fans are hoping for something fresh and pure.
Here are some ideas for Cena once he leaves South Beach.
A Reunion with Zack Ryder
1 of 5This seems likely since we now know what Eve had planned all along.
The Broskis can hug it out and then become a pretty decent duo. It is possible (and very likely) Cena could get phased out of title chances, so the next best thing is to act as an Icon and work with Ryder to make him the next big thing.
A Feud with Dolph Ziggler
2 of 5Cena won't get a title shot, and someone like Ziggler deserves a title shot.
Thanks to the past few weeks, with Chris Jericho becoming the focus of everything on Raw, that won't happen for Ziggler, and Cena doesn't stand a chance now.
Ziggler and Cena could be an interesting dynamic, to say the least. Can Ziggler sell for Cena, and can Cena help Ziggler get over again?
Form a Rapping Tag Team with MVP
3 of 5MVP spoke a few weeks ago openly about wanting to come back to the WWE and about his friend, Cena.
Could there be a tag team in the future if he returned to the big brand?
It looks like a tag team of Kofi Kingston and R-Truth could be in the works (they tagged against Ziggler and Jack Swagger the other night), and they could be a threat to the WWE Tag Team Titles.
MVP and Cena would be a rapping style team that would kick it up a few notches.
Kane Will Be Waiting
4 of 5They could pick up where they left off. Kane and Cena could try to make it work, but fans would get tired of it very quickly.
And if Eve was at the side of Kane, which I do not like, it would make no sense to rehash the same stuff six weeks from the time it ended.
CM Punk
5 of 5I don't believe Punk will have the title after WrestleMania, and Jericho will get challenges from other wrestlers as well.
Could Punk have a solid but brief encounter with Cena?
We all would love the angle, and it would redirect people to two guys who love working in the ring together.
It could be awesome again.
