Wayne Rooney won't play in Manchester United's Europa League second-round match on Thursday against Ajax.

However, it might not matter. The Red Devils grabbed a 2-0 advantage in last week's first leg in Amsterdam.

The second leg is on Thursday, and while Rooney will miss it because of a throat infection, United shouldn't be in too much trouble. Kickoff is set for 3:05 p.m Eastern, with American TV coverage on GolTV.

We'll fire up the live blog around 2:45. See you then.
