Lost in the Linsanity: Miami Heat Have Final Tuneup Before Welcoming Lin, Knicks
Linsanity has taken over the NBA, but it has been a blessing in disguise for the Miami Heat.
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are hitting their strides and no one outside of Miami has noticed. The Heat are the best team in the NBA right now but the media is focused on the Jeremy Lin story.
Miami, who is normally the most scrutinized team in the league, have been all but lost in the Linsanity.
Even though they are on fire, the headlines in the league are no longer based around the Heat.
But who's complaining?
Not LeBron, Wade or any of the other Heat players for that matter.
They are taking advantage of flying under the radar and are benefiting from doing so.
The Heat are 14-2 in their last 16 games and winners of their last six games. They are set to face the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.
The Kings are an abysmal 3-16 on the road this season, so the Heat should continue their winning ways against them.
During the six game winning streak, the Heat have led by at least 20 points in each game. The Kings have led by 20 points this season for a total time of 37 seconds.
Not many times does it look like a team is guaranteed to come out victorious, but this matchup is highly favorable for the Heat.
The biggest task for the Heat might be keeping their minds on the task at hand and not looking past the Kings. Miami will have to remain focused with a huge matchup awaiting them in their next game.
The Heat are poised to take a seven-game winning streak into Thursday night when they welcome Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks into American Airlines Arena.
It will be interesting to see what happens on Thursday night when they are at the center of attention once again.
First thing is first though: Take care of the Kings.
