Cam Newton Video: Watch Cam Show off New Kicks in Snazzy Under Armour Ad
After having one of the best rookie seasons in NFL history and being named the Offensive Rookie of the Year, Cam Newton's stock may never be higher than it is right now.
And since the season is over, now is as good a time as any for Newton to start selling stuff.
The folks at Under Armour came to the same conclusion. Newton has been repping the UA brand for over a year now, but I dare say the company's new commercial starring Newton is the biggest moment yet of their partnership.

If you haven't already figured it out, you can watch it above.
I have to say, I like the kicks. I obviously can't tell if they provide any kind of functional advantage, but at least they look cool. If I had an excuse to wear football cleats, I would consider buying a pair. In fact, I may buy a pair anyway and go run button hooks and deep slants at the local park, just for funsies.
At any rate, the rest of the commercial fits Newton like a glove (or, considering the circumstances, an Under Armour shirt). There are lights, cameras, action and loud, boisterous music. There's also a blue hue to the whole thing, a subtle shoutout to the fact that, yes, Newton plays for the Carolina Panthers.
I also like the money shot at the end in which Newton performs his now-iconic Superman pose. It's past time he was featured doing that in his very own commercial.
Courtesy of CNBC's Darren Rovell, we know that this ad will officially be making its debut during the NFL Combine.
That's appropriate. After all, it was this time last year that Newton was owning the combine, which proved to be a rather important stop on his path to being the No. 1 overall pick.
Under Armour signed him well before that, mind you. It was a risky move at the time, but Newton has proven to be a pretty good investment.
He's been a good investment for the Panthers, too.
