Gene Chizik hires Ted Roof To Be The Defensive Coordinator For The Auburn Tigers

Ted Roof is officially headed to Auburn. Most Auburn fans are not content, but I believe it's a solid hire. He isn't a high profile guy, but if he was given an opportunity to be a head coach in a major conference, he can be a coordinator on our staff any day for all I care. He has improved defenses almost immediately upon arrival, so let's see what he can do with our talented defense.

Duke's defense went from 113th in 2001 to 59th in 2002, Roof's first season with the Blue Devils.

Roof is also a past winner of the Broyles Award, given annually to the top assistant in the nation.
