Jeff Hardy Losing Championship Is Terrible for WWE!
Many WWE fans have been demanding Jeff Hardy win the WWE Championship for all of 2008 and most of 2007. He started to come into his own in late 2007 and has not stopped yet.
Of course, many Hardy fans will tell you that he has been a great singles' performer for some time. But really, he had not been a great singles' guy until after he went to TNA. Now that may sound weird, but follow me here.
See, Hardy would always have Matt Hardy, his brother, with him. If Jeff did bad, then they would put the Hardys back together...boom they were great again. In TNA, Jeff had to be on his own.

He had to be a singles' guy and was forced to do so. He learned how to get fans involved as a singles' performer in TNA and attained even more than he already had because he was featured more in TNA than he was in the WWE.
So when he returned to the WWE after two years in the TNA, he became huge with the WWE fans. His return was so great for the WWE that immediately, he was encouraged to recruit his TNA fans for the WWE.
Ever since then, the WWE has realized that they needed to separate the Hardy brothers, and let them both stay on the singles' path more. Of course you should bring them back together for the fans from time to time.
Since he returned, the WWE fans have been behind Hardy a lot. They wanted him to succeed, and even more so, wanted him to be World Champion for the first time.
The WWE Universe was about to get their wish last year when Jeff was going to win the MITB ladder match. Of course, we will never know if that was a fact or rumor, considering CM Punk actually won it.
Hardy was suspended and when he returned, he told the fans he would not let them down again. And he has not yet contradicted himself. He has become even more popular, since his return from the suspension.
The WWE Universe, if it is possible, has made more demands to see Hardy win the big one. They wanted him to succeed for them, the screw ups in life. Hardy has messed up many times, and is on a three strikes-your-out rule with the WWE.
One more incident and he is gone from the WWE, most likely forever. But he buckled down and decided to not screw up anymore. The WWE finally let him win at the last PPV of 2008, Armageddon.
Former wrestlers and creative team members have had mixed feelings about Hardy winning the WWE Title and becoming a face for the company. They are asking...why have a screw up represent your company?
Many backstage members with the WWE have said that they do not want to see Hardy lose the WWE Title anytime soon. If he does, they want him to win it back soon. They also feel that he could be as big as John Cena.
Cena, despite how you feel about him, has many fans and is big outside of the WWE ring. They feel, if marketed correctly, Hardy will be just as big, if not bigger. Like Cena, he is oversees a lot.
However, reviewing his character, he has been winning barely or at the last second. He is not like a superman type—he sells moves and does not come back like the moves in the match didn't faze him a bit.
One reason why the WWE likes him and the fans do is because of that fact. The only other person, who I could say did the same and was WWE Champion, was Rob Van Dam, probably the best at selling a move in my opinion.
The fans love him and have been behind him before the WWE Title win, after the win, even more. Just like Cena, he is loved, and I can't find a person that hates him. Hardy simply does not have any fans against him...I don't think.
The only people against him is WWE management. If they say he has to do something, then he has to do it. So if a WWE Title loss is in the future, then we may see another Hardy fans' uproar.
However, the WWE management will do the same as they did before and make him work his way back. I said all of this to say...the fans want to see Hardy retain the WWE Title for a long time.
We don't want to see another Triple H title run!
How many times have we seen that...12 times? The last one just happened a few months ago. Of course, Triple H has not won a Wrestlemania Main Event since Wrestlemania 19.
So many think he is due to win at Mania again.
I personally do not want to see it, but knowing the WWE, it will happen. I personally want to see Hardy retain at least as long as they did with Triple H, a few times.
He has held it well for the time he has had it and the WWE fans have gotten even more into things. Smack Down has received better ratings and is getting even better than it was before.
Heck, I look forward to Smack Down more than RAW every week. It used to be the other way around. Just me, I guess. I feel the WWE should still listen to what their fans want to see.
If they do that, then everything they do will be gold...Just my opinion I know, but what do you think?
