WWE: My 10 Fantasy Matches

Jesse MorrillJun 7, 2018

Often times, on a clear day, a fan may look to the sky and think of wrestling matches that could be.

I do this constantly

So here are my top 10 that I think would be amazing.

( Match outcomes are not based on history or experience. They are based on how well the endings would affect the WWE and its current product )

Honorable Mention

1 of 12

HHH vs. Zack Ryder, No Disqualification Match : Yes, it may sound stupid at first. but these two have very similar styles in the ring. If the bout came down to a personal vendetta and not a title, it could end up being a good match.

10. Cody Rhodes vs. Sting, 30 Minute Iron Man Match

2 of 12

While I think these two would make a better tag team because of their differences in styles (see: Hollywood Freakin' Blondes), this could very well go for 30 minutes and could be a great match.

WINNER : Cody Rhodes with a Scorpion Death Drop reversed into a Cross Rhodes.

9. HBK vs. Dolph Ziggler, Last Man Standing Match

3 of 12

Dolph Ziggler is a young HBK, awesome in the ring and on the mic.

Imagine the promos.

Now imagine a match full of kip-ups at the count of 9.

WINNER : Dolph Ziggler with a Shawn Michaels kip-up being met with a Superkick.

8. Big Show vs. Andre the Giant, Steel Cage Match

4 of 12

Did anyone not see this one coming?

Sure, the promos might not be that good, but the match itself would be awe-inspiring and talked about forever.

In a clash between giants, it's hard to pick a winner.

WINNER : Double Count-out due to Ring Implosion.

7. The Mega Powers vs. the Miz and John Morrison, Elimination Tag Match

5 of 12

The promos would be awesome.

The match would be awesome with the slow paces of Miz and Hulk Hogan to the quick-paced work of John Morrison and Randy Savage.

And the entrance gear would be even cooler.

WINNER : The Mega Powers, with The Miz powerslammed by Hogan, followed by an elbow drop from Savage.

6. Chris Jericho vs. Brock Lesnar, 2 out of 3 Falls

6 of 12

Can you believe this match didn't happen when it could?

The promos would mainly be carried by Jericho, but if Paul Heyman and Stephanie McMahon were involved, it would work quite well.

I would prefer to not see this for a title.

WINNER : Chris Jericho by reversing the F5 into a Codebreaker..

5. Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart, I Quit Match for the US Championship

7 of 12

This would be wrestling.

Not sports entertainment.

Just wrestling.

U.S. vs. Canada.

National vs. global.

These 2 submission specialists would have an astounding match.

WINNER : Kurt Angle rolls Bret Hart into an ankle lock while in a sharpshooter to make Bret Hart say "I Quit."

4. Tommy Dreamer vs. Mick Foley, Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Hardcore Championship

8 of 12

These two have never gone one-on-one.

These two are hardcore legends.

These two are extremely resistant to human pain.

These two are surrounded by weapons.

You do the math.

WINNER : Tommy Dreamer wins by hitting a DDT onto Mick Foley off the Titantron into a dumpster.

3. Kofi Kingston vs Ricky Steamboat, Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship

9 of 12

This would be fast-paced, innovative, and smart.

Promos may be expected in a face-to-face bout, but the promos don't matter. The match does.

WINNER : Kofi Kingston with a Trouble in Paradise off the ladder onto Steamboat.

2. Sting vs Christian, TLC Match for the World Heavyweight Championship

10 of 12

Christian is a fast-paced Sting.

I have never seen Sting in a TLC match, and Christian is an expert in them.

These two would be so technical and innovative.

WINNER : Sting with a Scorpion Death Drop off the ladder into a table.

1. Stone Cold vs. the Rock vs. Hulk Hogan vs. John Cena, Fatal 4 Way for the WWE Title

11 of 12

This match could potentially make $1,000,000,000 dollars.

That's right.

One billion dollars.

You'd have three generations buying a pay-per-view to see the match, with Hulk's generation buying it and not live-streaming it (they can't work computers, sorry to be ageist).

The promos would be literally the greatest promos ever. Vince McMahon could get involved in so many ways. I personally think this should be elimination, but it would be hard to decide who would be eliminated first.

The WWE title would be vacant somehow, so everyone in the match an equal chance to win the belt.

WINNER :  Stone Cold eliminates Hulk Hogan with a Stunner.  Rock eliminates John Cena with an FU reversed into a Stunner by Austin followed by a Rock Bottom. The Rock and Steve Austin tie with a double count-out after a People's Elbow from the top rope onto the English announce table with no definite winner.

Conclusion.
