WWE News: Ranking the Current Champions
The WWE has seven people who proudly wear gold around their waist—though, when they finally include the Internet Championship, this list will change.
Some are good, some are bad, all are champions.
But when you have the champions we have now, it's not hard to rank.
This is how the title ranking in WWE goes (from highest to lowest)
WWE Championship
World Heavyweight Championship
Intercontinental Championship
United States Championship
WWE Tag Team Championships
Divas Championship
However, with the current champions in WWE, these rankings prove null.
7. United States Champion Jack Swagger
1 of 7Lets get him out of the way.
He can't talk and can't draw any heat.
The two-time—two-time—all-American American is nothing more than a joke.
6. WWE Tag Team Champion Primo
2 of 7Do you remember him and Carlito? One of my favorite tag teams ever.
This current tag team is a poor man's excuse for that. He can wrestle very well, but he can't talk on the mic.
He's extremely low in charisma and draws no heat whatsoever.
5. WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix
3 of 7She's ahead of the two men for one reason. She's the World Champion in her division and she can wrestle well.
She cuts decent promos for herself and gets a general amount of heat.
I see her only threats for this title being Kharma and Tamina, but if she overcomes them, she's officially unstoppable.
4. WWE Tag Team Champion Epico
4 of 7He's a high flier, and a great one at that. The WWE is sore for a high flier who can wrestle.
The current list of high fliers on TV is Justin Gabriel, Kofi Kingston, Primo and Epico. Gabriel can't talk, Primo can't talk and Kofi is great, but wont get a serious push until a heel turn.
Epico is the best of a bad situation.
And when the best of a bad situation is your champion of an entire division, that's really sad.
3. World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan
5 of 7He is the American Dragon. He is the Submission Specialist. He is the World Heavyweight Champion. Do I buy him as World Champ? No.
Do I think he will end up like Swagger? Yes. Do I buy him as a heel? Yes.
He's an awesome heel, and is holding his ground as World Champ. I buy into him more and more every night.
And throughout it all, he's worked 12 long years to be the best in the world. Now, he officially is.
2. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes
6 of 7This kid is 100 percent talent, who flows naturally in the ring. On the mic he is pure amazement. He takes your attention and holds it there. No two promos are alike.
He is the greatest Intercontinental Champion in the past five or 10 years.
And I say this with no doubt in my mind: He will be World Champion by the end of the year.
This young man could very well surpass his father's legacy.
1. WWE Champion CM Punk
7 of 7Who else did you expect at No. 1?
CM Punk is excellence. On the mic and in the ring, he's the best overall.
Punk is the WWE Champion and he well deserves it. He's not just blowing smoke when he lays claim to being the Best in the World.
He is.
