Philadelphia Eagles: Asante Samuel Tweets About Possible Trade
While there hasn't been any definitive statement by the Philadelphia Eagles that they are intending to trade cornerback Asante Samuel, things may have gotten more interesting.
Around 5 o'clock on Saturday Samuel tweeted, "If they trade me where would you guys like to see me go????"
While there may have been limited dialogue between Samuel and the Eagles front office this offseason, it's likely that Samuel is simply responding to trade speculation that has run rampant on the web.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The speculation about a possible trade of Samuel started shortly after the regular season ended when many noticed that the play of newly acquired cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromarite may fit Juan Castillo's defensive scheme more comfortably.
Samuel is due $8.4 million in 2012, about $7 million more than Rodgers-Cromartie will be making next season.
Samuel is known for playing off-corner, a very risk-reward style of play. Either Samuel is jumping routes and disrupting passes, or he's getting burned on the back end by double moves.
At this point it seems like the most logical move for the Eagles would be to dump Samuel as April's draft quickly approaches. If they could gain a second or a combination of third-round draft picks for Samuel it would behoove the Eagles to make a trade soon.
DRC is a more athletic, physically gifted corner than Samuel and with Nnamdi Asomugha on the other side of the field, a more consistent presence at right cornerback is necessary.
