2012 NFL Scouting Report: Robert Griffin III
Season Stats: 4,293 yards, 37 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 72.4 percent completions, 10 rushing touchdowns.
College: Baylor (22 Years Old)
Height: 6 ft 2 in
Weight: 220 lbs
NFL Comparison: Cam Newton
Awards: 2011 Heisman Trophy Winner, 2011 AP College Football Player of the Year, 2011 Consensus All-American.
Overview: Robert Griffin III or "RG3" as he is also known, had quite a season at Baylor. He led them to a 10-3 record and their first bowl victory since 1992. He won the most prestigious award in college football last December when he was awarded the Heisman Trophy and is one of the top prospects in this year's draft class.
RG3 is an amazing athlete who combines his superb passing accuracy with his staggering speed. The obvious comparison to make is with Cam Newton last year's No. 1 overall pick and rookie of the year in the NFL. Although Griffin isn't as good as a runner as Newton, I believe he is more advanced in his passing.
Griffin should certainly be a starting quarterback in his rookie season, and I think he will be a top-five pick. Teams will almost certainly have to trade up to select him, though, and don't be surprised to see a team make a trade with the St.Louis Rams and select him at No. 2 overall.
Ranking By Experts: Mike Mayock: No. 2 QB; Matt Miller: No. 2 QB; Mel Kiper Jr: No. 2 QB
Projected Pick: Top-Five Pick
Possible Teams: Cleveland Browns or Washington Redskins.
