WWE Elimination Chamber 2012 Predictions: Christian Will Win SmackDown Chamber
The SmackDown Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship at Elimination Chamber on Sunday may look quite predictable right now, but Christian will shock the WWE Universe by gaining entry into the match and winning the title for a third time.
As it currently stands, Daniel Bryan will be defending his title in the Chamber against Big Show, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, The Great Khali and Santino. Randy Orton had to be removed from the match due to suffering a concussion, so he was replaced by Santino, who won a wild-card battle royal.
Many are up in arms over Santino's inclusion in the match, but it is merely a smokescreen for the return of Christian. The two-time World Heavyweight Champion has been out of action for the past few months with an ankle injury, but indications are that he may be close to a return.

Popular belief was that Christian might be in the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant, but while that didn't ultimately happen, a return at Elimination Chamber would be even better.
Christian's buddy and long-time tag-team partner Edge attacked Kofi Kingston and stole his spot before the Chamber match at No Way Out in 2009, and Christian will follow in his footsteps on Sunday.
Santino is a character that the crowd is very sympathetic toward, so it would make a lot of sense for Christian to jump him and enter the Chamber match. Also, it would make the match far more interesting.
With Sheamus almost certainly primed to challenge the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania, there aren't many possibilities right now.
None of Big Show, Great Khali or Santino are contenders because they're faces. Barrett and Rhodes are slight possibilities, but it doesn't seem like there are plans to put the belt on either of them. That makes Bryan almost a sure winner, but getting Christian involved would definitely cloud that a bit.
Before his injury Christian was involved in a feud with Sheamus, so it would make perfect sense for him to win the Chamber match.
If Christian were to win the title, then it would work from a storyline perspective because Sheamus could choose to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship since he dislikes Christian.
Also, the Chamber is a perfect setting for Christian to win the strap. His character is similar to Bryan's in some ways because he is a weasel who is willing to do anything to win the title.
A lot of fluky things tend to happen in the Chamber, so there would be ways to have Christian win without Bryan and others looking weak.
Even though Christian is a heel who berates the fans, he is generally supported because his in-ring work is so well-respected. Both Christian and Bryan are entertaining, but it's fair to say that Christian is better on the mic and could put on an equally good match with Sheamus.
The WWE likes to call the Elimination Chamber the most unpredictable match, but over the past couple years there haven't been a ton of surprises. Having Christian unexpectedly enter the match and win could single-handedly make the pay-per-view a success.
