Klitschko vs Chisora: Vitali Will Dominate in Convincing Fashion to Retain Title

Justin WeltonJun 7, 2018

Dereck Chisora was already in over his head against Vitali Klitschko in their clash for the WBC Heavyweight title on Saturday, but his slap at the weigh-in guaranteed a beat down.

Listen, you are already an underdog that will most likely get destroyed. Why would you want to further anger your opponent by slapping him before the fight begins?

I understand that you are excited and roaring to go, but relax a little. Attempt to intimidate Klitschko by staring in his eyes not by action; you just angered the best heavyweight fighter in the world.

Not the best idea.

One has to wonder exactly what Chisora was thinking when he did this. Does he not realize that this will further anger Klitschko? That had to be one of the dumbest moves I have ever seen.

It almost looked like Chisora was frightened after he slapped him because he scurried away. It was something you would see on the playgrounds at elementary school. Not exactly what you want to see after such a bold move, right?

If he wasn’t nervous before, he should be plenty nervous to get in the ring with the heavyweight champion of the world.

Klitschko (43-2, 40 KO) hasn’t lost since 2003; he’s won 12 straight fights. His strength and experience will carry him to an easy defeat over Chisora in Munich on Saturday.

Chisora capturing victory would be one of the biggest in the history of boxing. He was a huge underdog going in and I believe he should be bigger after his slap. If the giant wasn’t fully prepared for this fight, you better believe he is now.
