WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: Odds for Each Wrestler Winning SmackDown Match

Tim KeeneyJun 7, 2018

World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan will defend his title tonight against five other superstars. While Randy Orton is no longer in the field, there are definitely some names to watch out for.

Here's a closer look at each of the wrestlers and their odds (made up by me) to come out on top.

Daniel Bryan

Bryan has held onto the championship belt for a long time, but with the exception of his win at Royal Rumble, he hasn't really had any impressive title defenses. In January, he held on to belt in three different matches, all because of outside help.

I would venture that Bryan's time as the champion is coming to an end, but nonetheless, it's very hard to not give the current champion the best odds.

Odds: 3:1

Big Show

Maybe it's just me, but it's hard to imagine Big Show not getting the title back that he held for all of 113 seconds back on Dec. 18.

Bryan barely escaped Big Show's grasp at Royal Rumble to keep the title, but I'm just not so sure that happens again tonight. On the other hand, however, a Big Show victory would likely mean his feud with Bryan would continue, and I'm not a believer that will continue.

So, while I like Big Show's chances, a different route is more than possible.

Odds: 4:1

Wade Barrett

Barrett's main feud recently has been with Randy Orton, so I have a feeling his involvement is going to have to be shaken up a little bit.

I can't imagine a situation in which this sleazeball comes out on top, but he makes a lot more sense than some of the other wrestlers.

Odds: 10:1

Cody Rhodes

Rhodes is coming off a good showing at the Royal Rumble, but I just don't think it's his time to step up as champion. A feud with Booker T seems to be taking shape, and I'm guessing those two will battle it out for Rhodes' Intercontinental belt in the coming weeks.

If Rhodes were to win this match, that might cause some clutter. Him holding two belts at the same time doesn't seem likely.

Odds: 15:1

The Great Khali

Meh, Khali is a big boy and his return at Royal Rumble was fun, but again, I don't think the Mark Henry replacement takes the belt this quickly.

He just isn't the right man for the belt right now.

Odds: 20:1

Santino Marella

Many people are questioning the choice to put Santino in as the replacement for Randy Orton, and I can't say that I disagree. He's fun to watch, but I wouldn't necessarily call him right for this match.

As far as his odds go, I would be very surprised if a late replacement won the belt.

Odds: 30:1
