Kate Upton's 2012 Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover is one of the best in recent memory. The 19-year-old American bombshell has captured the hearts of men and women alike and her cover is just one of the highlighting points in this year's issue.

She's not the only one gracing the pages, though, as the likes of Bar Refaeli, Julie Henderson and Irina Shayk also make appearances.

That being said, there are several former cover models absent from this year's issue and we miss them greatly.

Petra Němcová

The 2003 cover girl is now 32-years old, but still as gorgeous as ever.

The Czech model gave us one of the more memorable covers of the last decade. Indeed, she started a run of covers which included models taking off, or completely without, parts of their swimsuits.

She's always been tough to replace.

The 2008 cover girl is still considered one of the most gorgeous women in the world. At 33 years old, the Victoria's Secret Angel is not forgotten and continues to be voted in "Hot 100" lists around the globe.

An all-American girl, Miller is a huge sports fan and has even expressed interest in being a sportscaster.

What more do you want in a woman?

Brooklyn Decker

Andy Roddick's wife gave us arguably the best cover ever in 2010. The 24-year-old is now a major Hollywood actress and will star in her second film, Pete Berg's Battleship. Her first major picture was Adam Sandler's Just Go With It.

Words simply don't do Decker justice. We may not see her in a swimsuit issue for some time—she is currently filming the movie What to Expect When You're Expecting—and that makes us miss her even more.
