WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: Chris Jericho Will Steal the Show

Chris Jericho has sat on the sidelines long enough. The Elimination Chamber will be his playground, and he will prove that he is the best in the world by not only winning the WWE championship, but being the best performer on the show. 

CM Punk has done an admirable job of carrying the WWE title for the last three months. He has tried to make the belt feel like a big deal, even when he has been faced with so many weak, undeserving challengers. 

All of that will change on Sunday, because Jericho is the first person Punk has dealt with that can actually match him on the microphone and in the ring. 

This whole thing should be moot, since Jericho should have won the Royal Rumble last month. But now that we are here, there is no choice for WWE but to give the title back to the former undisputed champion. 

It is obvious that the only two stars with a chance to win this match are Punk and Jericho. Considering that Jericho is starting to come into his own again as a performer, even with terrible material to deliver, he has to be the champion. 

In a match featuring Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston and R-Truth, there will be no shortage of athletic workers who can keep up with Jericho in the ring. 

Everyone is going to have to work together to make this a match that is worthy of deciding who the WWE champion, but Jericho and WWE understand that the company is just a more interesting place with him as champion. 

Jericho has not shown any ring rust in the few matches he has had since coming back, and he will prove that he is back to being the main-event star who left the company back in 2010. 

His victory will enable WWE to kickstart the build for a Jericho-Punk singles match at WrestleMania in April.
