Cover 4: Links to the Best in NFC East Coverage, 2/16 Edition

Free agency rumors and draft news filter out every day and with Mike Mayock's conference call giving fans some news about the prospects, the perspective has changed a little bit for some teams.

Washington Redskins

It seems like everyone in the nation's capital is receptive to the idea of Peyton Manning as the quarterback of the Redskins. Not D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray, according to Comcast SportsNet Washington.

As usual in the offseason, it's not all about who's coming—it's about who's leaving, too. Leave that to B/R Redskins featured columnist Shae Cronin, who has a list of 16 players he thinks will not return to the team in 2012.

New York Giants

This article is from a few days ago, but bears your attention anyway. Scott Kacsmar of Cold Hard Football Facts has part three in his "Super Bowl Hangover" series and points out that Eli Manning is on an elite pace to become one of the best fourth-quarter quarterbacks in NFL history.

Furthermore, B/R Giants featured columnist Pete Schauer writes that there are five very specific kinds of players the Giants should be looking for in the 2012 draft. Among them are a hard-nosed safety with good hands and a playmaking tight end.

Dallas Cowboys

For a look in the past, B/R Cowboys featured columnist Alex Hall takes on a daunting task in the 25 best players in Cowboys history. With so many Hall of Fame names to choose from it can get tough, but Hall does an admirable job of supporting his arguments.

And for a look at what's to come, B/R correspondent Ethan Grant has a scouting report on Oklahoma linebacker Ronnell Lewis and explains why the Cowboys must draft him.

Philadelphia Eagles

Mike Mayock of NFL Network gave his thoughts on the Eagles' options in the first round and thinks Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly would be a "slam dunk" for the Eagles with the 15th overall pick, according to Les Bowen of Philly.com.

B/R Eagles featured columnist Alexander Onushco gives us his list of the 25 best players in Eagles history. While there are some surprised on the list, you shouldn't be surprised with the player he has at No. 1.
