2012 Westminster Dog Show: Malachy the Pekingese Set for Massive Media Tour

If you thought New York Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin had it tough with all the media requests and new demands on his time, just wait until you see what Malachy, the Pekingese who took Best in Show at the 2012 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, has on his plate.

According to the Washington Times, Malachy will be making the rounds on the morning and daytime talk show circuit, with appearances on The Today Show, Ellen, Morning Joe, Martha Stewart, The View and even Fox and Friends.

Where, presumably, he'll leave a special present on the lap of Steve Doocy.

And if that weren't enough, Malachy will be on hand to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday morning and appear at photo ops with Donald Trump and at the Empire State building.

Talk about dog-tired. After all that, at least Malachy will get to enjoy a scrumptious Steak on a Platter lunch at Sardi's.

So, really, it's good to be the king, as draining a job as it may be.

Once that's all over, the fluffy fur-ball won't have to lift so much as a finger for the rest of his days. He'll retire into a comfortable life as the personal pet of his handler, David Fitzpatrick.

We should all be so lucky.
