Pacquiao vs. Bradley: Pac-Man Will Get Back on Track with Easy Win
After his recent nail-biting win, Manny Pacquaio has a lot to prove. While it won't be in the dream fight against Floyd Mayweather that we would like to see, he will once again establish himself as a dominant fighter against Tim Bradley in June.
While Bradley has not been defeated in any of his 28 professional fights, his domination has come at the light welterweight level. Even at that level, only 12 of his 28 professional wins have come by the knockout.
Now he'll be taking punches from Pacquiao, who is not only a welterweight, but one of the best the fighting game has ever seen. Moving up in weight class is always a rough adjustment and it's certainly not something you want to do with Pacquiao being the first man you step in the ring against. That is a situation doomed for failure, which is only part of the reason that Bradley will lose.
The other thing to consider is just how great Pacquiao's determination will be. Coming off of that fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao will be out to prove that at the very most Marquez is just a tough matchup for him. More than likely, he'll want to prove that the controversial win against Marquez was a fluke.
What Pacquiao's specific motivation is remains to be seen. But whatever it is, I wouldn't want to be Bradley on June 9. Pacquiao has shown himself to be a smart fighter who learns from his mistakes. His greatest weakness in one fight is likely to be the top strength in the next.
That is how fighters like Pacquiao become so great. It isn't that they don't make mistakes, it's that they don't make those errors more than once.
The holes that Marquez exploited won't be there for Bradley. Think about that and then consider that he is fighting a class up against one of the best boxers in the history of the sport.
All of this means one simple thing: We're not going to see a terribly long fight. Pacquiao will frustrate Bradley, dominating the early action. In the middle rounds, his power will be too immense and Pac-Man will win with a knockout.
