Peyton Manning Rumors: How Manning and More QBs Could Run Kevin Kolb out of Town
Arizona Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb could soon be looking for a new team. That will make for a short and unsuccessful tenure as QB for the Cardinals.
Just last offseason, the Cardinals traded CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second-round pick in 2012 for Kolb, but the QB had an underwhelming, and injury plagued season.
He played in just nine games, and posted a 81.1 QB rating in those games. Also, the Cardinals were just 3-6 in those games, and in one of those wins he threw just one pass, before leaving the game with an injury.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kolb is due a $7 million bonus if he is on the Cardinals roster on March 17th, and the Cardinals have plenty of reasons to dump him before then.
One of the main factors is that there are QB options hitting the free agent market. One of which will likely be Peyton Manning.
Kolb was recently asked if he was worried that Manning would take his job. Kent Sommers of azcentral.com quoted his answer:
"I know how the NFL works—anything is possible. I just try to keep my mind clear and do what I can on my end. I plan on having a great year and being a Cardinal for a long time.
"
Kolb's plans aside, his future in Arizona is tenuous, no matter where Manning lands.
Why Arizona Might Ditch Kolb
This team got an undeniable spark last season when John Skelton filled in for Kolb.
The second year QB was 6-2 in the games he played last season. He posted a QB rating of just 68.9, but that low number only serves to point to the ineffectiveness of Kolb.
Skelton was not afraid to force the ball downfield. This allowed Larry Fitzgerald to take over games. That is not what Kolb is about.
In light of this, it became clear that Kolb is not the best answer for the Cardinals. In fact, he isn't even close.
He is not worth his salary to the Cardinals. And that is whether they roll into the season with John Skelton, Peyton Manning or anyone else as their QB.
