2012 Westminster Dog Show TV Schedule: Working Group Highlights Coverage
Everybody loves the working group at the Westminster Dog Show.
Sure, the terriers are spunky and the hounds have those funny, drooping faces and the really nutty owners.
Sorry, that's the last of the Best in Show references, I promise. And I can't verify that all hound owners are "nutty."
But like I was saying, everyone likes the working group. You've got your Boxer, your Bernese, the Great Dane makes an appearance, the St. Bernard, the Schnauzer, the Rottweiler, and everyone's default pick as favorite, the Siberian Husky.
Regarding the Husky, the following has likely been uttered by the lady in your life (or if you are the lady in someone else's life, I'll bet you've said this).
"Ohmigod! they are soooooo pretty! Honey, we should get a Husky!"
If we're being honest, they really are amazing dogs. But you can just run the following information gleaned from the Westminster website by your lady, impress her with your dog knowledge and likely end her fascination with the Husky:
"He is extremely affectionate, even clownish, but is also independent and sometimes head-strong. He requires a fenced yard because he loves to run and generally does not come when called. He also sheds his coat once or twice a year in profuse quantities. He is excellent with children but is no watch dog, loving friends and strangers alike.
"
So yeah, be sure to check out the sporting group on Tuesday night, if for no other reason than they are all really cool dogs and the amount of ridiculous descriptions and unintentional innuendo by the event's television announcers is pretty amazing.
