WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 5 Predictions for Tonight's Show

Kaleb KelchnerJun 7, 2018

Bleacher Report is gearing up for the February 13th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, and in preparation, we've rounded up the top five predictions for tonight's show.

Last week on Raw, the WWE failed to keep up the momentum they had after a great Royal Rumble fallout show. That's not to say that it was all bad though.

Chris Jericho called out CM Punk, claiming Punk (and many others) were Chris Jericho wannabes.  Punk came out and gave Jericho a taste of his own medicine, not speaking, simply raising the WWE Championship in the air and showing Jericho the back of his shirt.

Jericho went on to win the six pack challenge, earning the right to be the last entrant in the Raw Elimination Chamber match.

The Undertaker appeared in a taped promo, urging Triple H to face him at WrestleMania, after Triple H had cut a promo where he said he respected Taker too much to end the streak.

Kane ended the show with Eve Torres backed into a corner.  Kane said he was scared for Eve, and himself, if John Cena doesn't embrace the hate soon.  Imagine how much more horrible that would have been if WWE wasn't PG.

The Fans Mark out for Shawn Michaels

1 of 5

Alright, so this is a bit of a softball prediction, meant to serve as a reminder that the Heartbreak Kid is going to be on Raw tonight.

It's been quite a while since Shawn Michaels appeared on WWE television, and he'll be a welcome addition to tonight's show.

Here's a preview from WWE.com:

"

Shawn Michaels returns to Raw SuperShow tonight, and according to Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis, HBK has a message for Triple H. What could it be?

"

Good question, what could it be?

John Cena Cuts a Cheesy Promo

2 of 5

With his Ambulance Match with Kane announced for Elimination Chamber, John Cena is sure to play a role on tonight's episode of Raw.

However, I don't expect John Cena to come close to being "edgy," or embracing the hate, although it'd be a welcome sight.

Keep your eyes and ears open, and brace for puns, bad jokes and at least three mentions of The Rock.

John Laurinaitis Continues to Suck Up After Nearly Losing His Job

3 of 5

Everyone's favorite Interim Raw General Manager and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis, still has his job after nearly being fired by Triple H, and being put up for review by the WWE board of directors.

Laurinaitis has temporarily been put in check by the company, so don't be surprised to see him trying to regain the favor of the company and its employees this week on Raw.

The only thing more certain than this is that David Otunga will continue to suck up to Laurinaitis.  What can I say, Otunga has learned from the best.

The Miz Gets Buried After Failing to Protect R-Truth Last Week

4 of 5

If there's one way to land yourself in hot water in the wrestling business, it's to fail to protect another wrestler. The Miz is finding this out the hard way.

Last week on Raw, Miz didn't catch R-Truth as he jumped out of the ring, and Truth took a nasty bump. He was legitimately hurt, and he had to be removed from the main event while it was taking place. Luckily R-Truth didn't have a concussion.

We'll see the fallout of Miz's failure this week.  I'm predicting that he'll be crushed by one of the Raw Elimination Chamber participants.

Chris Jericho Beats Down CM Punk

5 of 5

The odds are stacked against WWE Champion CM Punk at Elimination Chamber.  Not only does he have to come out on top of five other men, he'll have to contend with Chris Jericho as the last entrant of the match.

Tonight, Jericho is going to snap at Punk, and things will get physical.  Whether it's a run in, a full match, or anything else, Jericho is going to get his hands on Punk.

There will likely be more interaction between these two than a simple brawl, as this is the Elimination Chamber go home show, but the end result will be the same.
