WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: Is the Ambulance Match Too Predictable?

The Doctor Chris MuellerJun 4, 2018

Kane and John Cena are set to square off in an ambulance match at Elimination Chamber, which will most likely be the end of their feud.

Cena is set to face The Rock at WrestleMania and with Rocky being scheduled for several appearances between now and WM, it is a sure bet that Cena will be transitioning into that feud after the Chamber.

Rock versus Cena is the longest-promoted (and possibly the biggest) match in WrestleMania history, so having Cena go into that situation after a loss is the less likely scenario.

Chances are high that one of two things will happen in the ambulance match: Cena will win, or they will have a no-contest situation. Having neither man win is a definite possibility.

Kane has been looking very strong since his return and WWE may want to keep both wrestlers' momentum going strong heading into 'Mania.

By having a double DQ or something similar where both men come out of the match looking like strong competitors, WWE could then build into a Ryder versus Kane feud for 'Mania.

Ryder has been one of the focal points of the feud between Kane and Cena, and if Ryder comes back soon, then he could end up with a major match at the biggest event of the year.

The feud between Kane and Cena has been met with some criticism. Since it began, half of the fans seem to think it is a fresh, new angle that makes things interesting, while others feel it is boring filler while Cena waits for his match with The Rock.

Cena is showing more aggression in this feud and because of this, some fans have began cheering him again, but WWE may end up going full heel turn with Cena and have him really snap during the Chamber match.

Having Cena turn heel is something that is always seen as unlikely because of his popularity with kids and his merchandise sales, but with Rocky almost guaranteed to get the most cheers come WrestleMania, WWE could always have Cena just play the heel role instead of getting booed as a face like he has time and time again.

I for one am all for a full heel turn from Cena, even if it only lasts six months. He needs to change up his image a bit and the only way some fans will warm to him again is for him to destroy Kane and make a heel turn somehow.

The match between Kane and Cena seems almost set in stone in regards to Kane not coming out on top, but how the actual ending will play out could end up a number of different ways.

What so you think, is Cena destined to win, or could WWE pull a shocker on us?
