WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: Which Chamber Match Will Be More Exciting?

The Doctor Chris MuellerJun 7, 2018

At this year's Elimination Chamber, we have two matches which both have the potential to surprise fans. The Raw elimination match features some of WWE's best superstars while SmackDown's Chamber has the possibility of having a surprising result.

Daniel Bryan is defending his World Heavyweight Title against Big Show, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Randy Orton and the Great Khali. From the perspective of having Sheamus likely challenging the winner of this match at WrestleMania, there seems to be only a couple of likely options for who could win.

Bryan is really coming into his own as a heel and WWE may believe he is a strong enough talent to be one of the headliners of WrestleMania this year, but if WWE wants a different heel to face Sheamus then we could see Rhodes or Barrett surprise everyone and win their first title.

They could always go the other way and have Sheamus have a match with another face and make Big Show or Orton the Champion heading into Mania. The only unlikely candidate is Great Khali, who is not a full-time WWE performer.

Raw's match has CM Punk defending against R-Truth, The Miz, Kofi Kingston, Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler. This match, in my opinion, has the potential to not only be the match of the night, but the best Chamber match in WWE history.

All six of these men are talented in-ring performers who have the ability to steal the show with exciting and innovative moves. Regardless of who wins, this match is sure to have plenty of exciting moments.

Everyone, with the exception of Miz, is a noted high flyer, but Miz could surprise everyone and pull out some death-defying stunts if he is looking to raise his profile with management after some recent setbacks.

Jericho is still someone who is an enigma in the WWE and we have yet to see him in a big-match situation outside of the Royal Rumble since he made his return. He could be the one who ends up stealing the whole match if Diamond Dallas Page's yoga has gotten him to a point where he can do some risky spots.

We also have Punk, Kofi and Truth who have all been known to pull out some fun spots when the stakes are higher than normal. Punk is one of WWE's top guys now and he needs to be one of the standouts in the match if wants to keep that position.

Raw's Chamber match is one I am really looking forward to.

If WWE plays it where all six men end up in the ring together before anyone is eliminated, then this could end up being the gimmick match of the year.

The only thing that is unclear about this match is who will end up winning.

Punk retaining is something a lot of people will probably predict, but WWE could decide to have Jericho win the belt so Punk can have his rematch at WrestleMania and win a title on the grandest stage of them all.

The big swerve would be if any of the other four men came out the winner.

Kofi and Truth have never held the title before and Ziggler was only champion once for a few minutes, so there is always a chance for one of them to walk out the winner and shock the world.

The storyline in the SmackDown Chamber match is more interesting to me, but there is no denying the high potential the Raw match has for excitement.

Which Chamber match do you think will steal the show?
