Reggie McKenzie Knows That Money Matters: It's Not Personal, It's Business

There have been so many changes with the Oakland Raiders that some folks may think that GM Reggie McKenzie is looking at the personal aspects of the players and coaches.

I have come to believe that his decisions have more to do with money than with personal matters. I know he used the term "my guy" but the truth of the matter is that he needed the latitude to trim down the Oakland Raiders' budget because of the salary cap.

Omar Kelly of The Sun-Sentinel reported projected NFL salary cap numbers for 2012 in a recent article.

There were three categories in a report that I read. The Oakland Raiders were in the third and most troubled category, indicating the Raiders have the highest need for purging, trimming off the "fat" and getting their house in order.
