Tiger Woods at Pebble Beach: Tee Times, Pairings and Predictions

Nicholas GossJun 5, 2018

Tiger Woods was fantastic in Saturday's third round at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am tournament, shooting a five-under 67 to climb into third place.

Woods will look to win his first tournament of the season and reclaim the dominance he once had on Sundays when players feared him immensely in the final rounds.

Seven straight pars to end Woods' third round have set up a manageable deficit going into Sunday. Let's look at the tee times, pairings and some predictions for Tiger on Sunday.

Tee Times

Tiger Woods is in the second to last group on Sunday and will tee off at 12:29 p.m. ET.

The final round on Sunday can be watched on the Golf Channel until 2:30 p.m. ET, then CBS from 3:00 p.m. ET until the conclusion of the tournament.

Charles Wi and Ken Duke will be the final pair to tee off when they begin their final rounds shortly after Woods and Mickelson at 12:40 p.m. ET.

Pairings

Woods will be paired with professional Phil Mickelson and amateur Tony Romo, who is the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.

Mickelson is nine-under par, six shots behind Kevin Wi. He is tied for fourth place and will certainly be a threat to climb up the leader board and challenge for the tournament victory.

Tiger and Phil are two of seven American golfers in the top 10 of the leader board on Sunday afternoon.

Predictions

Tiger Woods hasn't been his normal Sunday best following his recovery from injuries and his off-the-course troubles with his marriage, but he has played some solid golf in 2012 and is ready to win his first tournament of the year on Sunday.

Woods will be only four strokes off the lead when he tees of Sunday, and he is the only golfer in the top three of the leader board who has improved or been consistent each round. Woods shot a 69 the first two rounds, but followed those performances with an impressive 67 on Saturday.

Second place golfer Ken Duke has a terrible 73 sandwiched between a first-round 64 and a third-round 65, while leader Charlie Wi shot a 69 in the second and third rounds after shooting a 61 in Round 1.

Woods has been one of the most consistent players at Pebble Beach this week, and his determination to capture his first win of 2012 will propel him to victory.

Expect a sensational Woods comeback to climb up the leader board for a thrilling triumph on Sunday at Pebble Beach.
