WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: 6 Wrestlers Who Could Really Use a Push

David LevinJun 7, 2018

Can these five wrestlers get over the hump in the WWE with a stout performance in the Elimination Chamber PPV?

First, for some of these wrestlers, finding a dance partner in the PPV must be achieved. Then we can worry about whether they have a chance of making some noise toward WrestleMania 28.

PPV events are created to showcase top talent, give mid-card talent a chance to shine and help those who need a push get that movement up a very steep ladder.

Right now, the WWE is in flux; stuck between 12 wrestlers who are dominating the brands and other wrestlers who are trying to break into that fraternity. Sometimes, it pays to go through the hazing to get to the prized event of initiation.

Can these five wrestlers make it through and earn their wings?

Drew McIntyre

All these loses are adding up. To what, I am not sure.

Is there a makeover in the works? Is there a winning streak on the horizon? Does he take a Samoa Joe-like turn and become a terror? Does he become someone loved like a Zack Ryder?

All we know is McIntyre could rule the WWE if given the opportunity.

Cody Rhodes

He needs a world title and needs it now.

Rhodes is the best heel in the company. He is a tireless worker and while holding the Intercontinental Title is great, it is not getting him anywhere.

An angle with Wade Barrett would work, as would one with Daniel Bryan. But both seem locked into other angles.

The creative team needs to move on this.

Tamina

Now is the time.

Tamina is proving to be a great asset in the Divas Division. Does her push and ability to showcase moves of her father prove she is ready to become a champion?

Watch what happens in the next few weeks with Beth Phoenix, Kharma and Tamina and let's see if the creative team sees the same things we see.

Jack Swagger

It sounds odd to mention his name, but Swagger does not have a current dance partner to feud with.

He is a champion and should be getting more heat. But he isn't.

It just proves the United States Title is not as prestigious as before. Wahoo McDaniel, Magnum TA and Tully Blanchard are all former champions who are being disrespected by this move by creative.

Kofi Kingston

5 of 6

He has nowhere to go. And putting him in an angle with Jack Swagger makes no sense to me.

Does he seriously have a chance to challenge for the WWE Title?

Kingston can be electric and could carry a title for a good length, but it would not seem he could be a serious WWE Title holder with the current list of talent that wants a share of the strap.

The Miz

6 of 6

If The Miz turned face and challenged a "heel" R-Truth, it would do more for ratings than you think.

A hero Miz also can face a Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes and prove he is easily adept at being a "people's champion" along with the likes of CM Punk, John Cena and a Zack Ryder.

It also gives him more of a push toward a world title, where he excelled.
