Tim Tebow Wise to Pass on Dancing with the Stars Opportunity
Tim Tebow may be the biggest story from the 2011 NFL season, but a stint on Dancing with the Stars would have undoubtedly made him a sideshow.
Kimberly Potts at The Wrap reports Tim Tebow has passed on competing in the upcoming season of America's favorite show based on ballroom dancing.
The mix of B-List celebrities and dancing has worked famously for ABC, and they always seem to create a buzz around whichever athlete decides to tango.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Per Potts' report, Tebow has his mind completely on football at the moment. Broncos spokesman Patrick Smyth told The Wrap:
"Tim does not have any interest in participating in the show. He is focused on preparing for the 2012 season with the Denver Broncos.
"
This comes on the heels of a revelation by Season 13 winner JR Martinez, who recounts a chance meeting with Tebow. Per the report:
"I actually did come across Tim Tebow, and we chatted about (DWTS) for a second. I thought he'd do pretty well on the show! He said, 'Maybe in a year.' …That's pretty much what he said.
"
We will forgive what may have just been Tebow brushing aside the thought of DWTS with a "sure, why not" response that any of us would have given.
The fact is, Tebow continues to make the right calls by staying clear of DWTS.
Hope Solo
America's sweetheart, Hope Solo, was on season 13 as well. She came in as everyone's favorite World Cup princess.
She was poked and prodded until her mean streak came out in training. She wasn't the warmest person in the world, and it rubbed people the wrong way.
No athlete should have to show their training side of things, but that is what undid Solo and her magical hold on the nation.
By the end, we were all quite tired of her. Tebow may not have the same passionate scowl of Solo, but he certainly stands to lose a great deal of aplomb with America.
Football
So far, Tebow is the ruler of all and a master of nothing. People hand over their adoration without thinking.
However, he still has not mastered his craft, and that is precisely what the pundits and talking heads will tout if he decided to gallivant on national TV.
I am all for Tebow cutting loose and having fun. He would be amazing on DWTS, but not yet.
He needs to lock down the front in Denver and make sure he can prove all his detractors wrong on the field. If he does that, forget the small screen, where is the movie deal?
Tim Tebow left us all hanging by saying no. In effect, he is leaving us all wanting more, and that is right where he needs us heading into the offseason.
