Brandon Nazione Video: Watch Michigan Prep Star Soar over Defender for Huge Dunk
Brandon Nazione isn't Vince Carter, and the poor kid he posterized isn't Frederick Weis, but you can bet both of them feel like the aforementioned, after this throwdown.
You can't help but recall Vince Carter's epic slam, that to this day is the only in-game slam that trumps Blake Griffin's soul-snatching slam over Kendrick Perkins a week ago.
We can add the Howell High School star's rafter dwelling flush to the list, at least on a prep school level. This Michigan high school player just made himself the most popular kid at school after this play.
He takes the ball coast to coast, before elevating near the dots in the lane and depositing the ball through the rim. The unnamed kid who gets victimized\ kind of spirals from the wreckage, and Navione gallops away celebrating his triumph.
Highlight reel dunks are nothing new for Nazione, as I would discover, after doing a little bit of research. Though his other dunks lack the overall nastiness of the kid-clearing slam I highlight in this piece, they do show Nazione's notable athleticism.
The highlight reel dunks made me wonder where Nazione may be considering playing college basketball. I found no information on where he may be headed for college.
At 6'5" with exceptional leaping ability, it would be reasonable to think that he has the physical tools for a decent collegiate program. It was a bit surprising not to find any information on him in that vein.
We'll keep our eyes open for news on that, but for now, we'll just enjoy the dunk for the cheap, ooh wee thrill it creates.
