Maria Menounos: Tim Tebow Fails to Save Reporter from Wearing Giants Bikini

Maria Menounos is nothing if not a woman of her word. She made good on a bet to wear a New York Giants bikini in Times Square after her beloved New England Patriots lost in Super Bowl XLVI. 

Perhaps the more shocking part of this whole thing is, Menounos was seen with Tim Tebow a lot during the Super Bowl festivities. 

According to a report in the Chicago Sun-Times, Menuounos was the object of Tebow's desire all week in Indianapolis.

The Broncos quarterback, known for his Christian faith and squeaky-clean reputation, reportedly was quite taken with the sexy TV entertainment reporter, overheard telling a pal at Friday’s ESPN party, “Wow! She’s not only gorgeous, she’s really sweet too.” The two were seen getting very cozy at that little fete.

No word on whether anything will develop here, but Tebow and Menounos supposedly crossed paths (on purpose?) at several other Super Bowl bashes over the weekend, prior to the big game.

The two even shared a moment Tebowing together. She might not have been saying the same things that Tebow was, but as long as they got their photo-op together, that's all that matters. 

It is no secret that the host of "Extra'' was praying for the Patriots to win the game. So what are we to make of the Power of Tebowing, since it was not good enough to carry New England past New York in the Super Bowl?

Perhaps the shine is starting to wear off the much-talked about ,often duplicated but never quite replicated practice of getting down to Tebow before a sports event. It did not work for the Broncos against the Patriots, and Menuounos couldn't get her team over the top. 

Who needs journalistic credibility anyway when you can bare most of your skin in Times Square on national television? 

Granted, hosting a celebrity gossip show doesn't exactly scream Edward R. Murrow, so surely she had no problem stripping down to a bikini in the middle of New York on February 6. It's great exposure for her--literally and figuratively--and Tebow gets some press out of this, too. 

Maybe it is a win-win situation, even though Menounos' team did not prevail. Actually, it's a win-win-win because we got to see it all unfold in front of our eyes.
