Super Bowl 2012: Detroit Tigers' Justin Verlander's Run of Success Knows No End
Justin Verlander is in the Matrix right now. The guy can do no wrong.
First, he schooled opposing hitters in such dominating fashion that he was rewarded with not just with the American League's Cy Young award, but also the MVP.
And that is not all. Apparently he can see the future, too.

That's right, Verlander nailed the final score of Super Bowl XLVI. And just in case you think he is fibbing, here is his prediction as posted on Scrippsnews.com:
"JUSTIN VERLANDER, AL MVP, Cy Young Award winner, Detroit Tigers: New York, 21-17.
"
Verlander also showed much more class than I would have, had I nailed the score. I would have had a series of tweets declaring my prognosticating proficiency. All of them would have been supremely eloquent and gone something like, "Suck it, losers! I nailed it!"
But this amazing pitcher took a high and lesser traveled road, and posted this tweet before he even mentioned his prediction.
I don't know why he just doesn't look into his crystal ball and tell us when one of the Detroit teams will win a championship. He must not want to ruin the surprise for everyone. And that is just another sign of his altruism.
Verlander's own Tigers will have a good chance at bringing that glory to Detroit. They advanced to the American League Championship Series last year, and they have recently added slugger Prince Fielder to their lineup.
