Super Bowl Commercials 2012: Ranking Funniest NFL Ads
February 6, 2012
Super Bowl commercials failed to live up to their reputation this year. The vast majority of the ads that once single-handedly brought in viewers have been reduced to opportunities to go and refill your bowl of chips and dip.
Because so many were unimpressive, though, picking out the top ads became that much easier. If you missed them grabbing another handful of Doritos, here are the four funniest commercials that aired during this year’s NFL title game.
4. Honda CR-V
Matthew Broderick re-enacted his role from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in a 2012 version: "Matthew's Day Off." Honda’s Super Bowl ad pretty much sends the message that you need to take a vacation from the rigors of life.
That sounds like a plan to me.
3. Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt
The suspense in “The Tease” is played out absolutely perfectly. The woman’s smile gradually turns into a glare and out of nowhere she does something no one saw coming: pull a Zinedine Zidane.
Greek Yogurt does have that extra protein.
2. Acura NSX
If you’re a fan of Seinfeld, you’re going to be a fan of this commercial (wow, does he look old). Jerry shows that he's still got it and Newman…I mean, Leno is still his mortal enemy.
1. M&M’s
LMFAO’s performance at halftime wasn’t as entertaining as the commercial that their song was featured in. I always knew I liked the red M&M’s the best.
