Clint Eastwood Super Bowl Commercial: Watch Star's Inspirational Halftime Speech
Clint Eastwood should be an NFL head coach.
The St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars are ticked that they already hired head coaches this offseason. Jerry Jones is on the phone with the Hollywood star right now to persuade him to teach Jason Garrett a thing or two.
But for real, why couldn’t Eastwood be a head coach? Do you really need to know anything about football? I mean c’mon, if you let positional coaches coach and coordinators call plays, then all Eastwood has to do is fire up the troops, and as you can see in this Chrysler commercial, he is a gifted motivational speaker.

But in all seriousness, Eastwood’s spot is easily one of the best, if not the best, commercials aired during the entire Super Bowl.
Alisa Priddle of the Detroit Free Press reported that executive vice president of Darcars Automotive Group in Silver Spring, Md. Tammy Darvish said of the ad, “It’s a whole different kind of theme from last year. It’s all about the greatness of the country.”
The commercial Darvish is referring to is the Eminem Chrysler ad that aired during Super Bowl XLV. While last year’s spot was phenomenal, it definitely has some in-company competition. According to Priddle, though, chairman of Chrysler's National Dealer Council David Kelleher believes that Eastwood’s ad is even better than Eminem’s.
Either way, Chrysler is doing a superb job at dominating the competition on the biggest stage for not only professional football, but commercials.
