Super Bowl Commercials 2012: Power Ranking the Dumbest Spots from Super Sunday
The Super Bowl is known for having the best commercials of the year, so it's only natural that we expect to be entertained with each and every ad that runs.
What happens when the spot doesn't really hit the spot, though? Is it possible to have a Super Bowl commercial that's just not, super?
As a matter of fact, there were some absolutely bad commercials this year. Granted we all have different tastes in commercials, so feel free to disagree, but even the most optimistic of viewers must have come out of these dumb ads shaking their heads:

5. Honda CR-V "Matthew's Day Off"
This commercial may have been a nice little moment for those of us who enjoyed the all-time great movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but aside from the few references to the movie, including the pseudo "Bueller" reference, this commercial was far too long and far too boring.
4. M&M's: "Just My Shell"
I'm happy that the Brown M&M finally got its own commercial, but other than that, this ad doesn't really offer anything.
That is, unless you're into M&M's "stripping" of their shells and dancing around. All-in-all this commercial is more creepy than anything.
When the highlight of a commercial is a staring match with a panda, you know it's not offering much.
3. Go Daddy: "Body Paint"
Honestly, there is almost nothing more annoying and stupid than the Go Daddy commercials. Not only are they huge teases, but they aren't even funny or entertaining.
I'm sorry if the possibility of maybe seeing what happens next doesn't intrigue me.
Was painting random phrases onto some random girl really the best that they could come up with.
The Go Daddy take is quite frankly getting old and drawn out. I don't know anybody that doesn't groan when they come on.
2. H&M: "David Beckham Bodywear"
I'm sorry ladies, but this commercial was a definitely not one of my favorites, even though I'm sure it was one of yours.
Beckham is a great soccer player—in fact one of the best—but I just don't want to see him in his undergarments.
1. Pepsi: "King's Court"
Starting off with a jester singing Nelly is probably not the definition of starting off on a high note, but this one went downhill just as fast as the jester did when a funny looking Elton John pulled the trapdoor.
Add in a random singer who is apparently accomplished—so they say—and this commercial takes the cake for the worst Super Bowl commercial of 2012.
