The New England Patriots are on top of the New York Giants at halftime 10-9 in a Super Bowl that looks destined to go down as another classic. While the pair of loaded offenses sputtered in the first half, they’ll definitely blow up in the third and fourth quarter.
New York jumped out to an early nine-point lead in the first quarter after an intentional grounding penalty that was ruled a safety and a Victor Cruz 2-yard slant into the end zone.

While it took New England nearly the entire first half to find pay dirt, they find themselves up at halftime after a Stephen Gostkowski field goal and Danny Woodhead 4-yard score with 15 seconds remaining in the second quarter.
While each team has recorded minimal offensive production, New York and Tom Coughlin managed to write and publish a How to Control the Clock for Dummies book. They held the football for an incredible 9:30 minutes longer than the Patriots.

The pregame jitters are now all gone, and both offensive units will be primed to ignite as soon as Madonna clears the field.
Expect nothing less than multiple touchdowns from each side in the second half.
