Super Bowl 2012: Stellar Set of Ad Spots Place Stars on Country's Biggest Stage
The Super Bowl commercials are as much a part of the popularity of the event as the game. That was evidenced by the significant star power that made appearances during the games' intermissions.
There were stars for the young and old, here are the highlights of a star studded night.
Melanie Amaro, Elton John and Flavor Flav

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The winner of the mega-hit talent competition, X-Factor, got another spoil of her victory. Amaro won the inaugural season of the American debut for the show that was already a hit in the UK.
The winner was promised a Pepsi commercial spot, and wow did she ever get the biggest spot possible. In the first quarter, Amaro shared the scene with rock legend, Elton John.
The spot was mildly entertaining and it also featured a dungeon banished Flavor Flav, viking helmet and all.
Amaro's pipes were on full display, those are lungs, for those of us with dirty minds.
We will see if this spot properly launches her into a successful recording career.
Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno
Jerry made us miss the sitcom even more. I wonder if they can do a redux without Michael Richards' dumb as....a matter of fact, maybe they can.
The co-star in the hilarious Acura commercial was very funny, not quite as eccentric as Kramer, but who knows. The commercial featured Seinfeld, Jay Leno and a alien. Yeah, if you haven't seen it, here it is, you'll understand what I mean.
Seinfeld was at his off-beat best in this one. The only thing that would have been better would have been for Elaine and George to work their ways into it.
Bring back Seinfeld, bring back Seinfeld, bring back Seinfeld!!!
Matthew Broderick
Broderick's rehashing of the classic memorable segment from cult classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off was awesome. For those of us that love the movie, there were too many subtle references to mention.
The commercial comes equipped with the famous theme song, as well as replacement actors for the original cast, except for Broderick of course.
I'm also a little partial, because way back in 1998, a Honda CR-V was my first vehicle. Yes, a lot of fake sick days were spent cruising around Chicago in that ride.
There are too many positive memories in this one for me to not love it.
Check it out, I can't wait to see what's in store for us next year.
