Super Bowl 2012: New England Patriots Release Inactives for Super Bowl

Tony SantorsaJun 3, 2018

With just hours away from Super Bowl XLVI between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots, the Patriots have just released to inactives for the game.

Ryan Mallett, Kevin Faulk, Shane Vereen, Gary Guyton, Donald Thomas, Nick McDonald and Ron Brace are all the inactives according to the team's official Twitter account

The most surprising player that's inactive is veteran running back Kevin Faulk, which indicates that Stevan Ridley will be active and quite possibly have a role for the Super Bowl.

Faulk is one three members left on New England's roster who were a part of all of the Pats' past three Super Bowl victories. Faulk has played in seven games this season while accumulating 57 rushing yards and failing to score a single touchdown.

One player that isn't listed as an inactive is wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, which was expected as the team released Tiquan Underwood just a day ago.

With less than two hours away from kickoff, things are starting to shape up in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium.
