Super Bowl Prop Bets: Guaranteed Odds That You Can Bank On

Justin WeltonJun 7, 2018

Prop bets are more fun to think about than actual bets unless you enjoy the thrill. There are some wild odds this year and some are harder to predict than others. For example, who knows how long the National Anthem will be? I surely can’t guess that.

However, there are three bets that I guarantee will come true on Sunday.

Who will have more passing yards?

Eli Manning Super Bowl XLII (255 yards)

Eli Manning Super Bowl XLVI

Take Eli Manning in Super Bowl XLVI.

New England has one of the worst pass defenses in league history, allowing 293.9 yards per game. They are coming off a performance where they allowed 306 to Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens. If Flacco can get more outside on the road than what this prop bet is suggesting, Manning should be able to obliterate it.

Manning passed for 4,933 yards on the season which clipped at 295.9 yards per game. He should be able to click with his receivers and tight ends enough to pass for 256 yards.

Prediction: Manning passes for 278 yards.

Number of Gisele Bundchen appearances

The line here is 0.5 Gisele sightings. I’m here to tell you that you are guaranteed at least one shot of the beautiful supermodel.

We are talking about the wife of one of the most historic quarterbacks in NFL history. She will receive at least one shot by the camera at some point.

This is especially the case because of what she said during the week. She sent an email asking her family to pray for “Tommy”.

She will be seen at least once, book it.

Prediction: We see Bundchen once.

Who will reach 30 yards receiving first?

Victor Cruz (-140)

Rob Gronkowski (+110)

Your best bet would be to take Cruz in this situation. Gronkowski is coming off his high-ankle sprain but insists that he’s taking it day-by-day and will be available on Sunday.

He can’t be 100 percent healthy; there is no way.

A high-ankle is the same thing that made Ben Roethlisberger look immobile against the San Francisco 49ers late in the season. Roethlisberger, known for his movement, couldn’t even get outside of the hash marks.

Who knows exactly how effective Gronkowski will be out of his breaks? The Giants will most likely play press coverage on the tight end, forcing “Gronk” to be sharp in his cuts.

It could be a short day for the fantastic tight end. Who knows?

Cruz is easily going to get to 30 yards first; he finished 2011 with 1,536 yards which is 96 yards per game. Gronkowski finished with 1,327 yards which is 83 yards per game. Cruz had 82 receptions and Gronkowski had 90.

Clearly the favor goes with Cruz.

Also, he can get 30 yards in more ways than Gronkowski. He could catch a wide receiver screen for 30 yards or a 5-yard out for 40.

Gronkowski isn’t a likely candidate to do that.

The odds are pointing with Cruz.

Prediction: Cruz gets there with five minutes to play in the first quarter.
